A poised Pinot Noir with bright hue, wild earthy berries and fine-laced fruit expression, finishing sleek, mineral and discreetly opulent.
Gentle colour; bright hue, attractive lightness. Notes of herbal brush and wild earthy berries – floral yet introverted. Neat with glossy minerality and fine laced fruit expression…discretely opulent, ample and yet sublimely sleek. A class act.
The 2025 season was marked by above-average temperatures and dry conditions, creating an early, condensed harvest for Pinot Noir. The grapes were harvested over a short 2-week period in mid-March, from both our Tamar and Coal River Valley vineyards, then chilled overnight and sorted into 4-tonne open-top tanks for fermentation.
The must underwent a 3-day cold soak to bleed colour and supple tannin from the skins, before being warmed and inoculated with yeast. The wines were handled gently throughout fermentation, and drained and pressed after 14 days on skins. Malolactic fermentation was carried out in oak and after maturation for 10 months, the final blend was assembled and bottled.
