From aromatic whites to finely structured Pinot Noir, our wines are cool-climate expressions shaped by place, season, and intent. Grown in Tasmania’s Tamar and Coal River Valleys, each range captures a different nuance of site and craft.

Tasmania’s cool climate provides the ideal conditions for crafting sparkling wines of purity, finesse, and longevity. At Small Wonder, we approach traditional method sparkling with care and restraint, allowing bright natural acidity and delicate fruit character to take centre stage.

Fruit is hand-picked and whole-bunch pressed to preserve finesse and freshness, with only the free-run juice used to ensure precision and purity. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel to retain varietal clarity, with select parcels undergoing malolactic fermentation to enhance texture and complexity. Extended lees ageing, a minimum of 36 months, builds subtle autolytic character, layering delicate fruit with notes of brioche, roasted nuts, and fine mineral drive. The result is sparkling wine of structure and elegance, shaped by place and patience.

A celebration of Tasmania and its many wonders, the Landscape range captures the diversity of our cool-climate wines, from vibrant whites to elegant reds, all estate grown in the Tamar and Coal River Valleys.

Each label tells a visual story: slightly surreal scenes featuring archival characters set within iconic Tasmanian landscapes. These characters represent the timeless bond between people and place, each interacting with the land in their own way, a nod to how we each find meaning, joy, and belonging in nature.

Through this series, we honour not only the beauty of Tasmania, but the importance of caring for it. The Landscape range offers an invitation to explore, to tread lightly, and to engage with this remarkable island with curiosity and respect.

The Auburn Series is our premium collection of single-varietal wines, produced from the finest fruit grown on our certified-organic Tamar Valley vineyard. Crafted in small quantities, these wines embody the cool-climate precision and distinctive character of this unique site.

The range currently includes the Auburn Chardonnay and Auburn Pinot Noir. The Chardonnay is sourced primarily from Block 7, a parcel that consistently delivers the most expressive and refined fruit on the vineyard. The Pinot Noir is a blend of the best-performing blocks, with only the finest barrels selected for release.
A singular Pinot Noir from a small, elevated site planted to Dijon clones 114 and 115. Fermented in a single 4-tonne open-top fermenter with a touch of whole bunch and aged in seasoned oak, this wine offers layered complexity, fresh structure, and a vivid sense of place.
