Nestled on the western ridge of the Tamar Valley, just 30 minutes from Launceston, Small Wonder is a place to taste, ask questions and get closer to how our wines are made. For the season, guided tastings will take place in our working winery, with current releases from the Tamar and Coal River Valleys poured in amongst the tanks and barrels.

Getting Here

You’ll find us located on the western ridge of the Tamar Valley, Tasmania, just outside of Kayena. Free onsite parking is available right in front of the Cellar Door.

Opening Hours

Open daily from 11 am to 5 pm.

Small Wonder will be closed to the public from 4–10 May while we move between spaces.

From Monday, 11 May, tastings will reopen in our working winery.

Do I need to book for wine tastings?

Bookings are recommended to guarantee a table, but walk-ins are always welcome.

How long should I allow for a tasting?

Tastings typically take 30–45 minutes, but you are always welcome to stay longer.

Are winery tours suitable for children?

Winery tours are tailored for adult guests, but children may accompany you if supervised, free of charge. Please let us know in advance.

Are dogs welcome?

Well-behaved dogs on a leash are welcome in our outdoor areas.

Where can I park?

Free onsite parking is available near the Cellar Door.

Can I buy wine to take home?

Absolutely. All current releases are available for purchase at Cellar Door prices, with delivery available across Australia.
